Jubilee is cutting her two top front teeth. This has translated into a less-than-lovely series of nights for me. This morning I was ready to cry from fatigue and back pain as she woke up after just having gone back to sleep. My baby says “Don’t think of the time change as an hour more to sleep, think of it as an hour earlier to get up!”

Oh an amusing note, this sleep deprivation has also given me a hilariously forgetful brain. So far, I have yet to lose the baby. But I’ve lost other things several times. My camera and phone are the main items of misplacement.

Our humble abode, complete with shelves in the closet, is a regular tornado site. A very small tornado, but this wind was named Weekend Neglect. My cleaning habits, always laborious and lethargic, are rarely squeezed into the small space of time we are home on Saturday and Sunday. I am (self) banished from the house during LSAT practice tests and we spend most of the two days mooching in my parental unit’s house and worshiping with the saints at church.

I don’t need dish washing elves, I need elves who can make shoes disappear till they are needed to go out. I have no idea how the four shod feet in the house accumulate so many shoes strewn about, but I can see some 20 shoes piled by the door. And I wouldn’t say we collect shoes. But our feet are so very big, it adds to the effect.

At the moment my camera is missing. This Distresses me because, though I am often careless, I do manage to not lose my camera most of the time. And a house on our street was robbed a couple (this means 2, not several) of weeks ago. I doubt someone would have taken the camera without also taking the computer and TV, though. But my camera is hiding very oddly and persistently, especially as I can remember exactly where I last had it.

It is nearly ten o’clock. I think my body was ready to be asleep at nine. I am Tired corporeal.

I’ve had a machine for almost four years now, and this morning I just did my first project on it. It was my 16th birthday present, but that didn’t inspire me, apparently. But where birthday didn’t do anything, Jubilee did. So I made her a pair of babylegs. You’ve got to sew for a kid that does this when she naps:

The weather turned chilly (again) but we’ll see if it holds up. *peers sceptically outside* I’m not out-ruling the possibility of a humid Christmas. Because the earth is warming and all. Despite my current shivering.

But no one will believe she’s 15 yet. No permit, though she looks happy about it.

There’s black bean soup simmering on the stove, with three green peppers chopped up in it. If I won’t eat my vegetables, I’m going to cook them till they’re invisible, thus removing all viable nutritional value, but still achieving eating my vegetables.

She had her first bath by herself last week. She liked it.

Oh yeah, me too.
There is a site ( http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/index.php ) to which some crazy people get practically addicted.

But there is so much cute!

*cough* Disregard the crazy person.

Anyway, two packages that I, of course, did not order and pay for arrived upon our humble step. I do not acknowledge any delight in receiving them. I’ve never been excited by diapers.

Neither do I acknowledge tie-dyeing diapers. That would be just nuts.

Aren’t you glad to not know anyone that crazy?

Today it is blindingly sunny, windy, cool. Perfect weather.

Gorgeous weather. It made even the decaf taste yummy.
